The main Elemental defensive, Astral Shift, is not usable in stuns – meaning you will have to pre-cast Astral Shift before a stun to get any use out of your only defensive, since you cannot kite or avoid damage whilst stunned. This means completely interrupting an Elemental Shaman is close to impossible, as you'd need to land interrupts on all three schools in a very short amount of time.Įlemental is, along with Enhancement, one of the tankiest specs in the game when it comes to avoiding damage while not stunned due to the aforementioned Ghost Wolf kiting ability and the talent. However, the Frost, Fire, and Nature schools are all readily available to Elemental through their various spells. The fourth school is Elemental, which comes from Elemental Blast, but it is not currently viable.
When pairing this with your slow effects like Frost Shock, this means you can kite many melee classes in Arena, only having real difficulty with classes like Demon Hunter, Subtlety Rogue, or Windwalker Monk.Įlemental has access to three (potentially four!) schools of magic in Arena. What this means is that when in Ghost Wolf, the Shaman is essentially under a Blessing of Freedom effect. In Legion, Ghost Wolf was changed to allow the Shaman to never fall below 100% movement speed whilst it's active.
